Found this as a staff pick and highly recommended. I was listening as I worked and got so into the music I almost forgot I was listening to it. Nice jams in the middle, and it has a slightly psychadelic feel to the air.

violin playing is solid. recording is solid. a little too 'jammy' at times, but an interesting band. I listened to it because it had streaming files and was a staff pick. really interesting stuff!

i had read a few things about these guys so i figured i would give them a shot. i'm on the wrong coast to see them anytime soon, so this was a welcome addition to the archive, thanks for putting it up.
i generally like what they have going on. fiddle over some solid jam chops. compelling music for instrumental stuff in my opinion. well, there were vocals on the last song, and apparently the reason there aren't normally any is that these folks have talent in many areas but those do not include lyric-writing or singing.
the recording is pretty decent for a festival, but far from flawless, albeit more than listenable and an accurate representation no doubt.
i look forward to seeing more from these guys on here and hope they continue to grow and develop. takes time, but they're moving in the right direction.
if you dig on the funky jams with some fine fiddle, check out some of the back forty shows on archive, 11/1/06 is a good starter.
